EIGHT TRIDENTS

Evoke Transformation - Trust the Process

Three Paths. One Philosophy

The Vegvísir - the Norse compass I chose for Eight Tridents - was believed to guide navigators through rough weather and unfamiliar waters. Not simply toward a destination, but toward where they were truly meant to be. That idea - navigating by deeper intention even when the path ahead is unclear - has become foundational for me.

We are living in a different world than the one most leadership and organisational practices were designed for.

What we are experiencing is not simply more change, but a systemic and paradigmatic shift in how the world operates. Over the past decades, complexity has not increased gradually – it has compounded. Systems are more interconnected, change is continuous rather than episodic, and decisions ripple further and faster than before. The volume of information alone now exceeds what linear analysis and execution can reliably handle.

In response, most individuals and organisations have done what makes sense: work harder, move faster, optimise execution, and add tools. For a long time, this approach delivered results.

Today, it increasingly does not.

Not because people lack competence, commitment, or ambition, but because the nature of the challenge has changed. Complexity is no longer occasional or linear; it is structural, interconnected, and exponential. In this context, success is less about finding the right strategy or plan, and more about whether the human and organisational capacity exists to carry any strategy through.

The dominant emphasis on action, efficiency, and output – what we do – is no longer sufficient on its own. The limiting factor has moved upstream.

What now determines effectiveness is how we are under pressure, how we relate when perspectives diverge, and how sense-making and direction emerge when certainty is unavailable.

This calls for a different kind of development. One that strengthens inner stability, judgment, and perspective, while also building the relational and collective capacity required to navigate complexity together.

The work here is about engaging that shift deliberately – developing the human and organisational foundations that allow action to regain clarity, coherence, and direction in a world that no longer behaves as it once did.

The journey is yours to walk, but you do not have to walk it alone

Below you’ll find three gateways:

Capacity in Complexity

Individual development and coaching – supporting deeper personal and professional growth when direction, confidence, and inner capacity matter most.

Your House of Leadership

Leadership and organisational transformation partnerships – supporting leaders and organisations in evolving the inner and collective foundations of leadership for a more complex, human, and interdependent era

Memories That Matter

Hospitality and destination advisory and interim work, rooted in my professional origins. I work with purpose-driven owners and brands to develop destinations where human-centred leadership shapes experiences that resonate, endure, and truly matter.

Different paths. One philosophy.

Each an invitation to navigate by your own compass – and arrive where you’re truly meant to be.

I wish you welcome to explore my thoughts and services here, and I hope our paths will cross in the future.

Christian has made a significant and lasting contribution to Jula Hotel Group during his engagement as Interim CEO. He joined us at a time that required stabilisation, rebuilding and forward movement, and he brought exactly that combination of leadership, structure, direction and humanity. Under his leadership, the organisation regained momentum, strengthened its foundations, and entered a new phase of development with greater clarity and confidence.

What has distinguished Christian’s work is not only what he has delivered, but how he has done it. He approached the assignment holistically, combining disciplined turnaround execution with a strong focus on building sustainable leadership capacity, culture and collaboration. Through his work with the executive team (including individual coaching, leadership retreats and the development of our shared leadership capability) he has helped strengthen both our people and our organisation at the same time.

Coaching with Christian has provided me with invaluable insights that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

There’s no going back,” Christian said to me before we began the coaching process – and he was absolutely right. Once you’ve opened that door, there’s no turning back. The journey has challenged me in ways I never anticipated, and it has sparked reflection that continues to resonate deeply.

During our sessions, I had the opportunity to explore my own values and motivations, and to challenge them through different perspectives. Christian created a space where I felt safe, encouraged, and empowered to be completely honest with myself. The focus wasn’t on finding the perfect words, but rather on understanding what I truly meant. This approach fostered genuine, authentic dialogue and allowed me to connect more deeply with my own thoughts and intentions.

Through the coaching, I gained insight into how my values are interconnected and how I can consciously bring them into my daily life. I now have clearer tools to guide me in living a meaningful and intentional life. I also recognize that this is a lifelong journey, one that requires continual reflection, and I have a deep respect for that. For me, Christian’s coaching has served as a powerful kick-start to living a more intentional and value-driven life.

I am profoundly grateful for the experience and the clarity it has brought me. Christian’s coaching goes beyond simple guidance – it equips you with self-awareness, confidence, and actionable insights that truly last a lifetime.

Trying Co-Active coaching this autumn has been a much more insightful journey than I first expected. When I entered the process, I honestly felt that I didn’t have any clear values at all – and the whole subject felt quite abstract and difficult to grasp. I struggled to see what values would actually mean for me as a person and as a leader.

But during the sessions, things have slowly begun to take shape. I’ve realised that the values were there all along, just a bit unsorted and without words. Through the conversations, several of them have become clear: creativity, pride, ownership, respect, keeping one’s word, a sense of adventure, empathy, and honesty. It has been both challenging and fascinating to watch them emerge and gain definition.

Even though I can’t yet say that everything has changed my day-to-day life in practice, I notice that the thoughts have been awakened. I often catch myself reflecting on how I act, what drives me, and how I want to lead going forward. It feels as though I’ve received keys to begin implementing this in both my leadership and in my everyday life – not ready-made answers, but a direction, and that is very valuable.

A large part of the experience comes from Christian and his way of coaching. He is genuine, inspiring, and creates a clear sense of safety in every conversation. It’s obvious that he truly has a passion for leadership and development, and that makes it easy to open up, explore, and dare to think in new ways. I have felt both challenged and supported in a way that has made it easier to find my own insights.”
